Congratulations! You've bought an EV or plan to buy one soon. There is so much to love about your EV.

But now comes the part we all hate: browsing insurer web sites to see if they even insure your car in your state, then given up lots of personal data to see what premium they will charge, or how much it's gone up since last year.

Although most major auto insurers do insure EVs, some do not. Amazing as it seems, in 2025 (other than Tesla's collaboration with Zurich Insurance), no major insurer in Australia offers a consumer policy tailored to EVs.
